I usually go further than the factory recommendations. The factory 150K timing belt interval seemed way too long for me, I thought about planning to change it no later than 75K miles. Based on your post as a Ford insider, I will probably lean more towards 8 years, especially since I generally put low mileage on a car.
In some cases, both the original and its updated design are displayed to help you identify them with ease. In this guide you will find all Ford Fiesta models. If a car model is specified in blue, it means its motor engine has a timing chain; that is, it has no timing belt. The rest of the vehicles marked in grey have a timing belt/cam belt.

This is a "wet belt" (runs through the oil), realistically it should have gone well into the 200,000-mile range before failure. The engine is toast with valves hitting pistons. Dealer wants $5,000 to replace the motor and the car is probably worth $5,500. May 5, 2020. #2.

Name: Jamie. Ford Model: Fiesta ST Performance Edition. Ford Year: 2019. UK/Ireland Location: Essex. Posted May 17, 2021. Hi everyone, I was wondering why Ford decided to go with a timing chain on the MK8 ST. I'm glad they did I was just wondering why they did it, with the 1.0s being wet-belts due to less emissions and less noise.
